This is so cool. This is my first time with the STAR W program.  I am very excited and can not wait until Monday to share with the kids..  The Terra Nova is over, and I am confident that my kids did there best.  This new technology is very intimidating, but I will not be moved!!!

Yesterday we learned the problem solving method Big 6.  it was really interesting.  I think it will be a vaulable tool to teach the children in regards to all subjects.  We have also start to brainstorm on our project about bullying.  I really wish the fifth grade were invited to brainstorm on ideas for what our project would be I sure would not have picked that topic!!!!! I am going to look at the tutorial tonight for this software so that I will know what is going on.   I really don't like to play "catch-up" with the others but I guess that it will have to be that way.  Anyway I will not be intimidated!!!!!  I guess I am experiencing  what the children feel when they are learning a new skill. I guess that I have learned something about myself today.

Today we had a lot of fun.  Art introduced us to Kia Kaha which means stand strong.  This program focuses on Bulling and gave some pratical resourses for both staff and students.  Then we broke into grooups and created I-movies.  The scenerio my group chose to portray was about geeks being taunted and teased.   It was really fun.  I likes it because it reflected the things that happen in our school and not just some generic example.  Then Art showed us how to edit the movie and create a web based movie.  Kia Kaha not only shed light on bullying, but forced me to not only look at the victim but also the bully in these instances.   So many times I have sought to remedy the victim, but never thought to remedy the bully.  Kia Kaha forced me to examine my classroomm policy, and seek ways for improvement

Today we had to reshoot the movie, and continue to brainstorm about or Bully to Buddies program.  I really like the way that we are all working togather in groups with the different grade levels.  It really helps when we have to implement a new program to have us all on the same page.   I liked the way one group came up with the implemention of a point system and focusing on a positive reinforcement first.  I think it is really important for transendence from a negitive peer group into one that is positive.  Or from a students that is not active in positive programs to a student who is.  Art showed us I move and I really have some good ideas for its use in the classroom next year.

Today was great!!!!  Jon came from Alpha Beta  to show us how to use the dana's .  They are going to be such a vauable tool to use in the classroom.  He showed us the basic hardware and applications. Jon also gave us some insight into free softwear.  Then we created another movie and I think this one is better than the first one.  Tommrow we will learn how to edit it using Imovie.

Today we learned about hyper-studio.  It is really hard to use this mouse and loop, and draw and.... It was just frustrating.   And I really don't like it.  Using the toolbar was a nightmare.  But I will get it.  We talked about implementing or B2B project is stages.  First we will focus in on changing the chidrens attitudes and the move out into the community
