This is
so cool. This is my first time with the STAR W program.
I am very excited and can not wait until Monday to share with
the kids.. The Terra Nova is over, and I am confident that
my kids did there best. This new technology is very intimidating,
but I will not be moved!!!

Yesterday
we learned the problem solving method Big 6. it was really
interesting. I think it will be a vaulable tool to teach
the children in regards to all subjects. We have also start
to brainstorm on our project about bullying. I really wish
the fifth grade were invited to brainstorm on ideas for what our
project would be I sure would not have picked that topic!!!!!
I am going to look at the tutorial tonight for this software so
that I will know what is going on. I really don't
like to play "catch-up" with the others but I guess
that it will have to be that way. Anyway I will not be intimidated!!!!!
I guess I am experiencing what the children feel when they
are learning a new skill. I guess that I have learned something
about myself today.

Today we
had a lot of fun. Art introduced us to Kia Kaha which means
stand strong. This program focuses on Bulling and gave some
pratical resourses for both staff and students. Then we
broke into grooups and created I-movies. The scenerio my
group chose to portray was about geeks being taunted and teased.
It was really fun. I likes it because it reflected the things
that happen in our school and not just some generic example.
Then Art showed us how to edit the movie and create a web based
movie. Kia Kaha not only shed light on bullying, but forced
me to not only look at the victim but also the bully in these
instances. So many times I have sought to remedy the
victim, but never thought to remedy the bully. Kia Kaha
forced me to examine my classroomm policy, and seek ways for improvement
