Inferrera's Bio
Melissa
Inferrera is a 3 rd grade teacher at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
School Complex in Atlantic City , NJ . She graduated from Rowan
University in the spring of 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education
and Psychology.
While
in college, Melissa worked at her public library in Vineland , NJ
as a computer assistant. Assisting the public with their
computer needs made her feel more comfortable working with technology.
She feels this background knowledge has been very beneficial
in the classroom. She is very eager to learn more about today's
technology and to use it with the curriculum.
Melissa
is also involved with the "Sister to Sister Club" at MLK.
As
well as teaching and engaging in technology, she enjoys writing
poetry. She is currently having 5 of her poems published
in two different magazines and had one published in an anthology.
She also enjoys reading and playing tennis. This past
summer, Melissa traveled through Europe on a literary tour.
So far she visited England, Scotland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland,
and Austria.
