Johnny Appleseed is an example of a Tall Tale.  The details in a tall tale are exaggerated, and larger than life.  You have already been introduced to other tall tales characters such as Pecos Bill, Paul Bunyan, and Babe the Blue Ox. Now is your chance to create a tall tale based on your own characters.  Write your own tall tale with your imaginative characters.  Remember, these stories are exaggerated, but don't get TOO carried away!  Have fun and enjoy this activity. 

Now that you have finished the assignment, look at the rubric that you will be graded on.  After viewing this rubric, write how you  think you did based on the rubric.  If you were the teacher, what grade do you think you deserve and why?  State in a complete sentence what you did to earn this grade.
