This year you will be learning many new things, plus having a great time!  I am so excited about getting to kinow you and what your interests are.  What makes you special, what hobbies do you enjoy, and what are your favorites subjects?  I want to know all that I can about you.  Do you have any pets, what sports do you like?  Write a paragraph telling me all about you, so after I read it, I will feel like I have known you for years!  Remember to write in complete sentences, with capital letters and periods.  I can't wait to hear from you!
