Ms.
Alden gave each of us an autobiography outline for a power point
presentation. It was so nice to see them all working so diligently
in the back on the computers. They know how to do everything!
I don't even have to help them. Great job Ms. Alden!
It's so great seeing
the growth in all of us. I remember last summer we were all
being trained in Microsoft Word, and now the majority of us are
creating web pages and hunts and prompts! It has totally changed
my whole way of teaching. I also love the commoradiry of the
team. We borrow each other's things and don't have to think
twice about it. Everyone is so giving and helpful. I
have linked a few of Ms. Hyland and Ms. Barron's activities to my
page. I am looking forward to learning more this summer.

Last Thursday
we had a culminating party to celebrate our first year of STAR W.
It was a success, however, I wish more parents would have come to
understand what it is that we are doing. The president of
the board came to show his support. I think that was really
great! He seemed very impressed with all that we are doing.
I can hardly believe that we only have 7 more days of school..
This year truly flew by. I am looking forward to next year
and all of our plans for our new big STAR W project. I feel
that this year was a huge success. I remember when Marilyn
told us that we were going to be receiving a software that would
allow us to create our own pages. I remember my heart sinking
because I just thought it was so much easier for Art to do it for
us. Now, after using Contribute for a few months I feel so
great about using it. I feel so confident and free to do what
I want with my pages. I never would have imagined my growth
in technology to come this far. This past weekend I was at
a graduation party and my teacher from freshman year was there.
I showed off the site and all of the things I have been learning.
She was so impressed and wished that she knew how to do these things.
I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity.
