We
met with Art today and he told me to start my journal on Word and
he'll show me how to transfer it onto out web site! We'll
see if I can catch on. Today I learned a lot with my Kid
Pix. My students were losing their documents because I couldn't
figure out how to retrieve them the next day. Now I know
to save them in export and then I can open them again. I
also learned how to open Kid Pix projects in Word. I think
that will be really great! I noticed today that when I allow
my kids to type their stories for picture prompts versus writing
them, I get a lot more work. They are so eager to continue
typing and make a really great story. Usually, it is like
pulling teeth to get them to write a story. I feel that my
kids are becoming more proficient in Kid Pix and Word. They
are actually teaching me things that they have learned through “playing
around” on the computer. My new goal is to get my scanner
hooked up and start using it. Art gave me some great ideas
to do. I feel that I am ready to venture onto that!
